About Me

Behind the Lens -

Why I’m Here
I walked away from a world that tried to break me.
Now I train, write, and live with urgency — because I know how fast it can all be taken away.
This is my space to climb my mountain, build my power, and stay in the present.

I’m not just a photographer—I’m a survivor, a student of silence, and a warrior of observation.

My journey through trauma, isolation, and physical pain has opened my eyes to something most people miss: the power of small things. What started as a quiet walk through the woods became a mission to capture the mysteries of nature—up close and personal.

Every insect I photograph has its own story, its own rhythm in the universe. Like me, many hide in plain sight—overlooked, underestimated.

This site is my way of showing you what I see through the lens: proof that beauty, strength, and resilience often come in the smallest, quietest forms.

I built this site from scratch while sleeping by the ocean, rebuilding my body, and escaping the past. I’m here now. Focused. Watching. Creating.

Welcome to my world.

Education

2004-2008

University of West Florida

Bachelor of Arts in Advertising, Minor in Photography

This is where my path into visual storytelling began. While majoring in Advertising, I developed a strong foundation in composition, branding, and design. My photography minor opened my eyes to the intricate beauty of the macro world—where insects, textures, and light became subjects of intense focus. This is when I first picked up a macro lens and never looked back.

Outside the classroom, I joined the university’s unicycle club. I specialized in off-road trail riding, often pushing limits through mud, roots, and forest terrain—solo and with a friend and relentless. Riding one wheel through the wild taught me patience, awareness, and flow, much like photography.

To support myself, I worked as a campus parking enforcement officer. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me discipline and gave me time to think about life, art, and my next step.

I graduated in 2008 with a BA, but more importantly—with a sharpened eye and a deeper curiosity for the unseen.

Exploring stillness, strength, and beauty in the smallest moments
Discover the hidden world through the eyes of a warrior.

Through macro photography and a deep sense of presence, I document the mysterious world of insects—where peace, power, and the unseen intersect.
